Ways to Navigate Essay Questions for the CMA Exams
CMA exams have a time limit of 4 hours for each part and with essay questions in it, 25% or 1 hour of the time must be spent on the essay questions. Both the parts have 2 essay questions which are then followed by five to seven questions. If you look at it from a time perspective, each essay question must be dedicated 30 minutes of time. Now to make sure that you adhere to the time, here are a few tips that will help you in completing the essay questions on time.
- Be brief and direct -
Try not to be too brief, explain things but make sure you stick to the point. You must explain your answers clearly.
- Try not to leave questions -
Even if you have less time, make sure you don't leave the answers blank. At least give main points or major keywords that conclude your answers. .
- Read the questions thoroughly -
Read the entire question carefully and make sure you understand what it is asking of you. Be very thorough with it and understand the question requirements.
- Only do what the question asks of you -
In addition to the above tip, make sure you only answer what the question asks you. For example, if the question asks for comparison, do not define or summarize. Stick to what the question requirements are.
